The 2007-08 Dolphin Wrestling began with summer camp at Virginia Tech. Prior to camp the team gathered for a week getting ready for a new season. With teams from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia, the Dolphins finished with a 6-5 record. This was a great start considering we only had 11 team members (1 senior) and filled only 9 weights. The extra wrestlers drafted from other teams did not provide enough wrestling power to finish a little higher in the dual meet competition.
